When is the perfect time to start taking care of your skin? Is it when you start to see wrinkles? When it starts to bother you? The answer, in my humble opinion, is right now. There is no age that you reach that it now […]Read More
Monthly Favourites – April 2017
Another month has passed! Where is this year going? So now I am bringing you my April favourites.
This is predominantly makeup, with a skincare and a dental care thrown into the mix. It’s been a bit of a strange time this month with the weather here in the UK, one day you need your SPF on and the next you’re pulling your winter coat out of the back of your wardrobe you thought you had done with. Nevertheless, I have been adapting my skincare and looks dependent upon the weather and how I’m feeling. So here are some of the products I have been using a lot and a couple of newbies I’ve fallen in love with.
I heart Cosmetics – Blusher, Highlighter & Bronzer
I posted a separate post reviewing these little sweethearts last week – here!. But for now I have to mention these, they’re at a bargain price of £4.99 each but I got them at Superdrug with a 3 for 2 offer on and also received a free tote bag too!
BH Cosmetics Marble Collection Palette in ‘Warm’
I also posted a review on this palette this month – here! I have had this for a while, it isn’t a new palette but it is so beautiful and compact so it is perfect for travelling with. I tend to stick to warm colours when it comes to my eye makeup, I just feel like they work better with my eye and skin colour. It shadows and they are all creamy and pigmented. I purchased mine off the BH website and unfortunately had to pay customs fees, but it is totally worth it for this palette alone.
Garnier SkinActive Naturals Rose Water Toner
This toner is amazing! I purchased 3 products from the new collection by Garnier, but this was my favourite. I have been using this after removing my makeup, the smell is incredible and it works absolute wonders. It is brilliant at removing any excess makeup or dirt left after using a face wipe to remove my makeup. I would definitely recommend purchasing this product.
Mr Blanc Teeth Bamboo Charcoal Whitening Polish
So, I have always been very optimistic about trying any ‘over the counter’ teeth whitening products. I’m not sure how regulated this industry is, but I worry that some products could cause lasting damage to my teeth rather than safely whitening them. However, I follow Mr Blanc on instagram and have seen incredible results from using their teeth whitening toothpaste and thought I would look into it some more. Their paste is made with bamboo charcoal and claims to ‘help remove tannins from the surface of your teeth without harming the enamel, resulting in whiter teeth. Mr. Blanc Teeth Bamboo Charcoal Whitening Polish keeps your enamel strong and healthy and leaves you with a long-lasting feeling of cleanliness’. I have seen a lot of celebrities endorsing this product and Boots have just become an official stockist, so I decided to give it a go. I am 7 days into the 14 day programme and I am loving the results! My teeth were noticeably whiter after just 4 days of using the paste. It is to be used before brushing your teeth as normal, twice a day. The one I have is a mint flavoured one so it tastes just like normal toothpaste. I am excited to see my final results and would definitely recommend this product! – here!
