Monthly Favourites – May 2017

May Favourites 2017

I swear it feels like yesterday I wrote my last monthly favourites post! Where is this year going? They do say time flies when you’re having fun and I have been having plenty with some new products this month! I feel like I have fallen a little behind recently on new products, I seem to be purchasing things months after everybody else has tried it! I need to get back on the research train. So you may have seen some of these in monthly favourites post 53 months ago, but they’re still my favourites that I’ve been using and loved this month!

L’Oreal True Match Foundation

L'Oreal True Match

This is my first time trying the L’Oreal True Match foundation and I am devastated I didn’t try it earlier. It’s so incredible! For some reason I had in my head that it was of a thick consistency, but it really isn’t. It is a light and thin consistency that is amazing for building up your foundation. I was matched at the counter to shade N3, personally I would have gone for a more of a warmer shade, but I trusted the girl and it does look good. I always keep to hand a darker foundation as my skin tone changes constantly, I caught a tan this weekend and now it doesn’t match but it will fade soon and be perfect again! I would definitely recommend buying this product, I have been using it everyday since I bought it. Tip! I have found this applies best with a beauty blender due to its thin consistency.

L’Oreal Glam Bronze La Terra

L'Oreal Bronzer

Another L’Oreal product, I bought this at the same time as the True Match Foundation as there was a 3 for 2 offer on (my favourite kind of offer)! This is a matte bronzer with no shimmer whatsoever. Sometimes I don’t mind a little bit of shimmer in my bronzer, mainly if I’m on holiday and I want a little bit of an extra glow, but generally I stick to matte. This bronzer is a lovely colour, I worried that it might be a little too orange but it comes out a beautiful sun kissed shade on my skin. Bonus – You may not be able to tell from the picture but this product is huge! It isn’t your average sized bronzer which I was pleasantly surprised about.

Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb Re Balancing Mask

g

I recently featured one of these masks in my current skincare routine. I use the Re vitalising mask once a week to keep my skin extra hydrated but Garnier have just brought out a couple of others in the range and this is one of them. It’s a beautiful mask and your skin looks and feels hydrated after using it. I have noticed a huge difference in my skin since I started using these and that’s only once a week. Also for £2 you cannot complain.

Bio Oil

Bio Oil

Not your usual beauty feature but this is an amazing product so I wanted to include it in my monthly favourites. I used this a while back religiously and when it ran out for some reason I just never replaced it, I’ve noticed that happens sometimes, you can love a product but when it runs out you just never get around to purchasing it again. It’s only when you buy it and you’re like ‘I love this! Why did I never replace it?’ that you realise. I’ve been using this again for the past few days and I can really feel a difference in my skin, more for hydration than anything else as you have to use it consistently over time to see any results in reducing scars, stretchmark’s, etc. It is a really good product and I will continue to use it on my problem areas.

So that is everything in my May monthly favourites. Next month I will try to include a little more makeup but I feel like I have just been using the same products recently. However, with the weather changing my makeup routine is bound to change so there will be a summer makeup post coming soon.
