Box Me Beautiful – Treat Yourself Box

Box Me Beautiful – Treat Yourself Box

If you follow me on on instagram you may have seen that I am now a brand ambassador for beauty box subscription service ‘Box Me Beautiful’. It was an honour to be asked by them as they are a unique beauty box company specialising in ‘olive, asian and darker skin tones’. As you can tell by my pictures I have olive skin, I’m not quite sure where it comes from as my parents don’t really have the same skin tone but it does help when I go on holiday boosting my tan! I stopped using beauty box subscription services (by the way – box me beautiful don’t require subscription for their boxes!) because I had a couple that I was really disappointed with and felt like I couldn’t really use any of the products, however my opinion has completely changed after receiving my first box me beautiful.

The box arrives and the packaging is beautiful, high quality and very sleek. After researching other beauty boxes to see how this compared one thing I noticed a lot was people were disappointed with the quality of packaging. It’s easy to think the products would matter the most, but presentation is equally as beautiful, especially if people would like to gift them. Box Me Beautiful has ticked all the boxes.

I was so shocked at the amount of products I received including big brands like Sleek, Sacha and Loreal it definitely didn’t disappoint. You can see some of the products I received below (I didn’t expose them all, just in case you wanted to order one and be surprised yourself!). One of my favourite products in the box was the Sleek Gel Blush, I’ve never used a gel blush before. In fact I didn’t know they existed! This alone makes me realise that even when you are obsessed with makeup, there are so many brands and products out there waiting to be discovered and you could find staple products you never even knew existed just by trying out a beauty box.

One of the products in this box has solved a problem I’ve been having for as long as I can remember, finding a suitable mascara for my bottom lashes. I know it sounds like a really small part of a makeup look but I haven’t found a wand I can use comfortably and that doesn’t leak onto my skin unless I sit and wait for it to dry for 15 minutes. This Eyeko mascara has a curved wand which enables me to apply my bottom lash mascara with ease. I couldn’t rate it enough.

I didn’t want to write about this box having just opened it, I wanted to test the products out and be able to review them to the best of my ability. I also want to point out that although I am a brand ambassador for Box Me Beautiful I am under no obligation to praise all of the products or even the service. All of my opinions on this are based on my true thoughts. So, I created a makeup look using most of the products I got in my beauty box to put them to the test. I will be posting a tutorial later this week but you can see the finished result below. I am really pleased with how it turned out, I probably would have never bought a purple eyeliner before but it worked amazingly on my waterline and really made my brown eyes pop.
