When is the perfect time to start taking care of your skin? Is it when you start to see wrinkles? When it starts to bother you? The answer, in my humble opinion, is right now. There is no age that you reach that it now […]Read More
My Hero Eye Gel
I’m only 22 (nearly 23) but it’s never ever too ‘early’ to start taking care of your skin. I’ve already noticed changes to mine over the past few years and I noticed I have a few creases that most certainly haven’t always been there. However, it can be really hard to find a good combination of products that actually work for your skin type. There are thousands of skincare routine videos on Youtube and even more blog posts but how do you find what works for you? My best advice…trial and error. I’ve been trying out some new products over the last few months, keeping what works and tossing what doesn’t but one thing had been lacking from my skincare routine that was probably one of my biggest concerns and that was an eye cream.
The eyes are one of the first things people notice about a person, the window to the soul or something…so you want to make sure you take care of your eyes and the area around them. Previously I was using the Garnier Contour eye cream and I liked it, it was hydrating, reasonably priced and a little product went a long way. However, I noticed it wasn’t really giving me the effect I wanted, I needed something hydrating, tightening, smoothing and everything in between, not too much to ask is it?
I’ve been using this eyewake unique collagen formula eye gel for the past week and I’ve been loving it. I’ve noticed a huge difference already in the feeling and appearance of my eyes, so much so… I haven’t been wearing any makeup the past few days! Now, I LOVE make-up but I’ve been wanting to let my skin breathe for a while now and haven’t really felt confident enough especially now we’re going into summer where wearing make-up every day isn’t ideal. It has really brightened up my eye area and makes me feel like I look more awake. I’ve never tried an eye gel before and I’ve found an added bonus that I am so happy about considering we are entering into summer here in the UK, it is so cooling! It feels amazing on your skin, especially in the morning to make you feel more awake.
I use this product first thing in the morning and apply a pea sized about (be careful it comes out of the pump pretty fast, there’s an art to it) and apply an equal amount under both eyes, I then massage it gently around my under eye area and use any excess product around my face. Usually when I wake up I have puffy eyes for a while until I come around but this reduced them in around 10 minutes which is mental.
5% of profits from the sale of this product go to charity Women’s Aid – who look after women who have been affected by domestic abuse, which is an amazing thing. I treally think more companies should donate money from profits too organisations like this on.
This product will definitely be staying in my summer favourites, you couldn’t ask for much more than a cooling, hydrating, plumping eye gel really can you?
