The perfect time to take care of your skin: NIA Skincare review
When is the perfect time to start taking care of your skin? Is it when you start to see wrinkles? When it starts to bother you? The answer, in my humble opinion, is right now. There is no age that you reach that it now becomes important to treat your skin to a daily routine, the best thing you can do for your skin is prevent any damage rather than try to fix it. I wish I had taken my skincare routine a little more serious when I was a teenager, apart from the odd moisturising (when I could be bothered) I didn’t really do much. Now I realise how important it is to spend time and money on maintaining your skins condition.
I’ve been using some products from NIA Skincare for the last couple of weeks in a bid to up my game in my skincare routine. NIA Skincare focus on using technology and skin-loving ingredients to create all of their products. They are a brand that creates each product with a specific purpose and thinks about every single detail from the ingredients that go in to the packaging and even the scent.
I have been using the NIA Wash + Glow foaming cleanser for the last couple of weeks and have been so impressed by the improvement in my skin. No matter what face wipes and micellar water I buy I still always have residual makeup on my face, I’ve been using the cleanser as a final step to cleanse before moisturising every night. It’s a cleansing foam so it’s easy to use and the smell is delicious! I can’t quite put my finger on the scent but I love it so who cares. It isn’t an overpowering smell though, sometimes brands add scents to their products but they can be so overpowering and this just isn’t. I use this product by putting 2 pumps into my hand and spreading it evenly all over my face and then working it in, I then rinse off and presto, beautifully clean skin.
I’ve also been trying out the NIA skincare triple action eye gel. I was so blown away by how good this eye gel was I asked (forced) my boyfriend to give it a go and he loved it. It’s a gel that comes out an illuminated cream colour and you can instantly feel it cooling and tightening your undereye area after applying it. I’ve been using this every morning and night time after my moisturiser to hydrate and improve the appearance of my eyes, it works an absolute dream on no makeup days where you need a little extra help in the under-eye department.
After using the two of these for the last couple of weeks I have noticed my skin has brightened and I haven’t had anymore breakouts! After returning from a holiday a few days before I started using these my skin was awful! I had so many spots and my skin just looked dull. These products will be a permanent fixture in my skincare routine from now on and I will be doing a follow up review in 3 months time to update you all on how I’ve been getting on using the products long term.
You can purchase these products directly from their website or at Harvey Nichols. My suggestion would be to purchase their starter kit which includes;
- Fully Charged™ – a serum infused moisturizer (.35 oz.)
- Fake Awake™ – a triple-action eye gel (.17 oz.)
- Wash + glow™ – a hydrating foam cleanser (1 oz.)
This will give you the chance to try out the products before you purchase the full sized bottles! But I know you’ll be pleased with them so you could just go ahead and purchase them straight away!
